CineMotion, Lüdinghausen

Five seemingly random and playfully arranged auditoriums are connect by a foyer forming an ellipse at its centre. The design picks up on this idea by assigning each auditorium its own colour on the foyer-facing side and duplicating it as a line pattern on the ceiling towards the centre of the foyer. The result is a grid of regularly overlapping indirect LED light strips flowing in five directions. When an auditorium is ready for admission, both levels of the foyer as well as the auditorium entrance, light up in the colour assigned to them. For special events and such, the entire foyer is immersed in one colour or changes with the interplay of colour compositions. This design concept is repeated in the auditoriums with freely selectable staggered horizontal lines stretching across back and side walls.
