When you visit the Dolby Cinema at the Mathäser Filmpalast in Munich these days, you may not even realize the architectural feat involved in integrating this design concept with the existing buildings. For experts, however, this is a clear reflection of the success of this project achieved by Cinema Designer, Anne Batisweiler.

Based on a thorough analysis of the proposed project, the focus of the design is on functionality and cost effectiveness. In this context, extraordinary solutions always considered as well. The Professor-Sep-Ruf Building at the Goetheplatz was returned to its original use as a cinema including food service. Three new auditoriums were stacked on top of each other in the already existing cinema and the foyer was enlarged. The new auditoriums were themed: “Titanic” with blue waves and a spray of light, “Shadow” with the shadows of dancing trees and hobgoblins, as well as “Graffity” with constantly changing coloured fields of light.
